WORD PROBLEMS

1) Kabir sells fruits. On a particular day, he sold 95 kg mangoes.
157 kg of mangoes were still left with him at the end of the day.How many kgs were there in the beginning?

2) 2080 people visited Wonder La theme park in the first week and 1660 people visited the park in the second week. Find the total number of people who visited the park in these two weeks. 

3) John has Rs 500 with him. He spent Rs 162 for food and travel. 
How much money is left with him? 

4) Rashmi made some birthday cards to sell at the school fair. She sold 19 cards after which there were 24 cards left with her. How many birthday cards did Rashmi make?

5) Arun sold 156 bags and Seema sold 133 bags. 
Difference between the number of bags sold by Varun and Seema is?

6)Arun bought 3 packets of chips for Rs 100, 4 packets of chocolates for Rs 80 and 80 toffees for Rs 100. How much did he spend in total?

7)Amar bought 6 chocolates. He gave 4 chocolates to his friend. How many does he have now?

8)There are 485 storybooks in a library. There are 97 fewer rhyme books than the storybooks.
a) How many rhyme books are there in the library?
b) How many storybooks and rhyme books are there altogether in the library?

9)Sajith and Sunil participated in an acting competition. Sajith scored 16 points less than Sunil. If Sunil's score was 60 points, find the points scored by Sajith.

10) Difference between two numbers is 909. If the larger number is 1641, find the smaller number?
